Orange, (www.Orange.com), a prominent supporter of eSport in Africa, is set to mark the special edition of eFootball 2024 with the 'Orange eSport Experience' on January 19 and 20, 2024, in Abidjan. This event will bring together participants from 14 African countries.
Since 2016, the Orange Group
has been actively promoting the growth of eSport in Africa by organizing both
national and international competitions aimed at showcasing emerging gaming
talents from the region.
The Orange eSport Experience
seamlessly blends gaming and sportsmanship, providing an engaging spectacle for
players and enthusiasts alike. Officially established in 2018, the "Orange
eSport Experience" has witnessed four editions of pan-African finals. This
year, in conjunction with AFCON 2023 in Côte d'Ivoire, a special edition
focused on eFootball 2024 will take place from January 19 to 20 in Abidjan,
featuring participants from 14 African countries: Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon,
Guinea, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal,
Central African Republic, Sierra Leone, Benin, Ghana, Gabon, and Togo. Over two
days, champions from these nations will vie for the coveted title of African
Champion.
The landscape of video games
has transformed into a professional discipline, generating employment
opportunities, especially in areas like cybersecurity, AI, and Open Innovation.
Currently, eSports stands as a global market with a valuation exceeding a billion
dollars.
