Several top-tier teams from
the Nigeria Premier Football League face potential elimination in the Round of
32 matches of this year’s President Federation Cup, scheduled to take place
across the country on Wednesday and Thursday.
In Awka, former champions
Lobi Stars and Shooting Stars will clash, while defending champions Bendel
Insurance take on Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in the Federal Capital Territory,
Abuja. Also in Abuja, Plateau United and Sunshine Stars will face off, as will
Katsina United and Bayelsa United.
Rivers United, who reached
the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, will battle Niger Tornadoes.
In Ibadan, giant-killers Hammola FC and Inter Lagos will compete fiercely.
Former CAF Champions League winners Enyimba will play against the high-scoring
FC One Rocket in Yenagoa. Meanwhile, Warri Wolves and Kwara United will
confront each other in Enugu.
