Arsenal vs Wolves |
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta
expressed his delight following their opening match victory against Wolves,
with goals from Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka sealing a 2-0 win.
"I'm extremely
pleased," Arteta commented post-match. "There's always a bit of
uncertainty with the first game of the season, but the team responded well.
"We had a shaky moment
after taking the lead, but Saka's goal helped us regain control and play more
comfortably. The dedication and effort from the players were exceptional, and
I'm very satisfied with their performance.
"Wolves posed a
challenge, especially in the second half, but our substitutions made us
stronger.
"We're in a good place
following a successful pre-season. There's always room for improvement,
particularly in our control during the second half and making better use of our
opportunities. Nonetheless, I'm very happy with the overall performance."
