The first half ended without goals, but the second half kicked off with a bang. Just four minutes after the break, Chris Wood capitalized on a header from Nikola Milenkovic, set up by a James Ward-Prowse free-kick, to put Forest ahead.

Chelsea quickly hit back, with Noni Madueke finding the bottom corner after receiving a well-placed pass from Cole Palmer to level the score in the 57th minute. The drama intensified when Ward-Prowse was shown a red card in the 78th minute for a deliberate handball, his second dismissal at Stamford Bridge.

Despite being down to 10 men, Nottingham Forest defended valiantly, holding off Chelsea’s aggressive push for a winner. Matz Sels made crucial saves, notably a double save from Palmer and a late stop against Christopher Nkunku’s header. The match also saw tempers flare on the sidelines after a scuffle between Marc Cucurella and Neco Williams, which led to a near brawl involving players and staff from both sides.

Chelsea had more opportunities, with Joao Felix missing a clear chance late in the game, while Forest nearly stole the win when Williams forced a save from Robert Sanchez. In the end, Forest held on through 13 minutes of added time to secure a well-earned point.

Chelsea stays in fourth place with 14 points, while Nottingham Forest is positioned in 10th with 10 points heading into the international break. Chelsea's six yellow cards in the match may also result in a fine.
