Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim is drawing attention from both Manchester United and Manchester City.

Amorim has been speculated as a possible successor to Pep Guardiola at City, particularly as Sporting's football director Hugo Viana is expected to replace Txiki Begiristain at the end of the season.

According to Christian Falk of Sky Deutschland, Amorim is not only a candidate to replace Guardiola, but Manchester United have also shown interest. Falk reports:

"Ruben Amorim is not only on Manchester City's radar as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola, but Manchester United are also keen on him. United have already made specific inquiries regarding his availability and future plans. The club wants to stay prepared, although they currently maintain confidence in Erik ten Hag."

At 39, Amorim has no plans for a mid-season move, as he remains committed to Sporting and their ambitions. His contract, which runs until 2026, includes a release clause that could be triggered next summer.
