Newcastle United icon Alan Shearer has showered praise on three standout Manchester United players following their hard-fought FA Cup win.

The Red Devils secured their place in the competition's fourth round with a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. United initially took the lead, but the game turned tense after Diogo Dalot’s red card, Arsenal’s equalizer, and a missed penalty by the home side in the second half.

Speaking on BBC, Shearer singled out United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir for his composure during the shootout. “He holds his nerve; he doesn't blink first,” Shearer said.

Shearer also acknowledged Matthijs De Ligt and Harry Maguire for their impressive performances but ultimately gave Bayindir the Man of the Match honors. “It was a three-way tie between him and De Ligt and Maguire, who I thought were superb. But his penalty save was decisive, so he deserved the award,” Shearer noted.

“When you’re given a chance, you have to make the most of it—and he certainly did today,” Shearer added.
